Redcliffe KiteFest 2025

Get your picnic rug ready — Redcliffe KiteFest returns to Pelican Park, Clontarf on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2025 for two days of colour, movement and spectacular kite displays. Entry is completely free, so bring the family, find a spot on the foreshore, and look up as giant inflatables and artistic kites paint the sky.

What to expect

World-class kite displays and international & domestic flyers filling the sky each day (festival arena runs daily).

Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena: huge team displays and performances by the Redcliffe Kite Club and invited flyers. Each day features continuous flying demonstrations between around 10:00am–4:00pm.

PLAY (kids & family)

Kids will love the KiteFest Karnival and the KiteFest Kids Zone — expect rides, carnival games, workshops and activities aimed at younger visitors, plus family-friendly stage performances and character shows throughout the weekend.

WATCH (the sky show)

This year’s refreshed format puts kite flying front and centre: sit back and enjoy mass kite launches, massive inflatables and precision team flying from some of the world’s best kite flyers. The Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena is the main attraction for big-ticket displays.

EAT

Food trucks and stall vendors will be on site serving everything from quick bites to relaxed picnic-friendly meals — so pack a rug, bring friends, and make a day of it beside Moreton Bay.
