Dayboro Artisan and Growers Markets
On the first Sunday of most months, the centre of Dayboro fills with marquees, early coffee drinkers and locals catching up with friends. The Dayboro Artisan and Growers Monthly Markets bring handmade artisan products and a wide selection of produce to Roderick A. Cruice Park on Williams Street, right in the heart of town.
It’s a small, friendly market with a genuine country-town feel, and a good excuse for an early Sunday drive into the hinterland of the City of Moreton Bay.

What You’ll Find at the Market
The market combines two things that make a country Sunday morning: handmade goods from local artisans and fresh produce from the district. The line-up changes from month to month, but visitors can expect stalls offering items such as pottery, resin art, woodwork, natural soaps, raw honey and plants, along with something for breakfast.
Because many stalls are run by local makers, it’s a good place to pick up something you won’t find in a shopping centre, whether that’s a gift, a piece for the garden or something for the pantry. With December’s market falling just before Christmas, it’s also a handy stop for unique presents.
A Community-Run Market
The market is organised by volunteers from the Dayboro District Progress Association, a community group that advocates for local residents and businesses and promotes the Dayboro district. Its aims include encouraging civic pride and protecting the area’s natural beauty, so a visit to the market is also a way of supporting the local community.
A Morning in Dayboro
The market sits in the middle of town, so it’s easy to turn a quick browse into a relaxed morning out. Once you’ve done a lap of the stalls, wander along the main street for a coffee at one of the cafes, stop at the bakery or stay on for an early lunch.
Dayboro is a popular weekend destination, so expect the town to be busy on market mornings. Arriving early gives you the best choice of stalls and an easier time finding a park.
Tips for Your Visit
- Parking: The main street gets busy on market mornings, so allow a little extra time to find a park.
- Cash: Some stalls take card and some are cash only, so it’s worth bringing a little cash. There’s an ATM inside the IGA in town.
- Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.
- Weather: The market runs in light rain, with most stalls under marquees. If storms are forecast, check the Dayboro Markets Facebook page on the morning before you set off.
- No January market: Plan around the summer break if you’re visiting early in the new year.
