North Lakes Christmas Carols 2026

Few things signal the start of the festive season quite like a summer evening of carols under the stars. On Saturday, 5 December 2026, the North Lakes Christmas Carols return to Kinsellas Sports Complex with festive favourites, live entertainment, free children’s activities, a visit from Santa and a fireworks finale.

Proudly presented by the City of Moreton Bay, the North Lakes Christmas Carols is a free community event and the first of five signature Christmas carol events held across the region this year. It’s an easy and affordable way to gather family and friends and celebrate the season together.

Sing Along to Christmas Classics

The heart of the evening is the music. Local artists and community groups will take to the stage to perform beloved Christmas classics, creating a relaxed, sing-along atmosphere that suits everyone from young children to grandparents.

Pack a picnic rug, find a spot on the grass and settle in as the summer afternoon turns into a festive night.

Free Activities for the Kids

Alongside the carols, free children’s activities will keep younger visitors entertained throughout the evening. It’s a great way for kids to burn off some energy before the main events of the night.

Food and Festive Atmosphere

Food will be available on the night, so you can grab dinner and make an evening of it without needing to rush home to cook. With families and friends coming together from across the community, the atmosphere is one of the best parts of the night.

A Visit from Santa

For many younger visitors, the highlight will be a special appearance from Santa. Keep an eye out for the man in red during the evening, and have your camera ready for the moment he arrives.

Fireworks Finale

The celebrations close with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky over North Lakes. If you have little ones who are sensitive to loud noises, consider bringing ear protection or choosing a spot a little further back from the main crowd.

Tips for Your Visit

  • Arrive early: Carols events are popular, so getting there early gives you a better choice of spots on the grass.
  • Bring your own seating: Pack a picnic rug or folding chairs for a comfortable evening.
  • Prepare for the weather: December afternoons can be hot, so bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Insect repellent is handy once the sun goes down.
  • Pack a torch: A small torch or phone light makes it easier to pack up and find your way after the fireworks.
  • Check before you go: For the latest updates, check the official City of Moreton Bay event listing or contact Tourism and Events Moreton Bay before heading out.
